Dedicated to the memory of Sue

This site is a tribute to Susan Rice. A beautiful and utterly adored wife to Nick, a devoted and wonderful mother to James, and a phenomenal friend to many.

Tragically taken from us all far too soon on February 15th 2022 aged just 61. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

James and I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support at this difficult time.

There are many charities I could have included on this page that Sue has supported for many years but I have decided to focus on those that relate to the last few difficult months and the devastating illness Sue was suffering from.

Ellenor Hospice - who did the best they could to alleviate Sue's suffering and provide support to both of us at the end.

Thoughts

I knew Sue for about 25 years as her accountant. She was one of the nicest people to deal with. She was consistently kind, honest and engaging. It was an absolute privilege to know her.

I met Sue on our first day at Hatfield Poly as room- mates. We were an unlikely pairing, Sue with her gorgeous long, red hair, leather jacket and motorbike, me with my northern accent and sensible shoes, however we became the best of friends and house-shared for the following 2 years and have stayed in touch ever since. We made each other laugh every time we met and wrote. She was a wonderful friend and I will miss her greatly. Sending my deepest condolences to Nick and Jamie, and my love. Jan xx
