Jenny - Motorbikes in Devon

Created by Nick 2 years ago

My most recent memory of Susan was a really lovely phonecall we had back in January. She was so kind and generous to put my mind and worries at rest (despite her obvious condition) and I was so thankful to have had the opportunity to speak with her one last time.

As her much younger cousin, the main memory I have of Sue (and of you Nick) was probably from over 30 years ago! You both rode down to Torquay to visit us on your bikes, and I thought Sue was such a cool older cousin, in her leathers and big powerful bike, I couldn't have imagined ever being so grown up as her! I think it was you who took me for a ride around the block, but even though you were driving conservatively, I was absolutely terrified!!

As a mother to an autistic son too, I appreciated Sue's advice and time to listen to my worries and concerns. She understood the pressure and general difficulties and stresses that happen, especially where school is concerned!

In the end, I just want to say how thankful I am of having her as my cousin, she was a very strong, clever, funny, charismatic woman, and I'm very sorry that she is no longer here.
