I met Sue in our first year at Hatfield Poly when we were young and thought we knew everything. We kept in contact over the years- more recently by birthday and Christmas cards with messages mainly about our boys. I wish we had met up more recently.

Sue was part of an important phase of my life - as students we were trying to figure out who we were and what we wanted to do with out lives. Sue was always a step ahead of most of us- she always seemed to have a plan. She also had red hair at this point. Her taste in music was always a bit more extreme than mine. But one of the most important things I remember was that she never made judgments about people - she accepted them as they were. She protected anyone who was slightly outside of the group and she was always so kind, so optimistic and always looking forward.

We learn from people we are around and I learnt a lot from Sue especially at College. She will always be part of my growing up and I keep trying to be a little bit like her. I will miss her.
